***OKAY, SLIGHTLY NEW FORMAT, SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHICH MOVIES CERTAIN HORROR CELEBS ARE FROM, SO I AM GOING TO START PUTTING A LITTLE INFO NEXT TO THEIR NAMES. BASICALLY WHAT THEY ARE MOST FAMOUS FOR.***

August 2001 Horrorfind Weekend

This was the best experience I have ever had at a convention, and considering I don't have much convention experience, if anything is ever better than this, it could only be heaven! The first person I spotted at the convention was my idol since the age of eight, Tom Savini. We were standing in line waiting to get our wristbands and my mother looks over at the bar next to us and goes "There's Tom Savini". I looked over, and there he was. So I did what came natural, I left the line and blocked him as he was coming down the stairs, just so I could say "excuse me" and let him pass! After we got through with the line we wandered around a little and I could kind of see in this tiny room, and I saw this punky blonde hair, and I'm like "Mom, that HAS to be Linnea Quigley!" So we went into the room and there she was setting up her table and next to her was Reggie Bannister setting up his table and next to him was Leonard Leis the zombie from Dawn of the Dead that gets the machete to the head by Tom Savini.Tom is talking to Linnea and Reggie, and I butt in and ask if anyone minds if I use my camcorder, and they all say fine, everyone of the celebrities gave me permission to videotape them except Bruce Campbell, I didn't ask him, I just taped him! So Tom let my mother take a picture of us together, and just before she snapped the picture he said something funny, so I started laughing, and that's when mom took the pic!! I yelled at him instinctively "Don't Do that!!" I couldn't believe I yelled at him, but he just smiled! So then I talked to Linnea for awhile, then I talked to Reggie for a long time, and anyone who has ever met him knows he loves to talk to people. A little later, Ken Foree, Michael Berryman and Brinke Stevens showed up around the same time and set up their tables. I ran over to Ken's table first. He was so charming and sweet. Then we met Michael Berryman and he was so adorable, and Brinke was so incredibly cool, I love her voice. We were lucky we went on Friday because, not as many people were there and it felt like we had the guests all to ourselves. The next day, we got there and the place was swamped with Bruce Campbell fans. We didn't get to meet the guy that played the Creature From the Black Lagoon because he was moving a table and broke his hip. Last I heard he is doing well and in stable condition. We ended up getting in the autograph line for Bruce early, we were like fifth in line, he was going to be doing a Q & A session in another room, but i gave that up so I could keep our place in line. We waited in line for two hours and it's a good thing because after the first hour the hotel was practically surrounded by this line of 3,000 people that came to see Bruce. When bruce got there I almost fell over. he was so funny, and I DIDN'T get it on tape but as he was setting up to sit at the table he took out his breath spray and sprayed it in his mouth and just hammed it up for all of us! When I got to him, I had him sign my evil dead jacket and his book (he would only do two auto's per person, cause the line was so long) and he said some funny things to me and had me sit in a chair next to him to have mom take our picture and that was it.

Here is what Horrorfind.com had to say about the show: http://www.horrorfind.com/show/index.html  scroll down a little when you get there, and here is the Washington Post article that my mother and I appear in online: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/metro/md/A62226-2001Aug25.html

Reggie Bannister:
**Reg is most famous for his recurring role as Reggie the ice cream man/bad-ass avenger in the Phantasm series, but has also made appearances in Wishmaster and the up and coming Bubba Ho-Tep**

On the left, I was talking about something to Reggie, but I can't remember what, and on the right is me and Reggie! What an incredible guy!

Tom Savini:
**Tom has a vast career and huge following starting with his career in the special effects. His effects can be seen in various movies like Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Creepshow, Friday the 13th Parts 1-4, and many many more. He also had a role in Knightriders as an actor as well as playing Sex Machine in From Dusk Til Dawn**

This is like the most hysterical picture of me in existence! He said something to make me laugh, and that's when my mom snapped the picture! And Tom just looks insane in the pic with me! On the right is Tom signing a picture of my cat Savini.

**Ken Foree played Peter Washington in Dawn of the Dead, and has also appeared in several TV Shows and other movies such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3: Leatherface**

What a sweetheart! He made sure my mother took another picture of us so that they would come out. He was so friendly.

Brinke Stevens:
**Brinke is one of the reigning scream queens, credits way too long to list but include Nightmare Sisters and Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-a-Rama**

She was such a doll. She has such a cool voice! I really tried to fiddle with this picture to make it darker, but I couldn't do much.

**Michael has appeared in numerous movies including Hills Have Eyes and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and can also be remembered as the Principal in Motley Crue's Smoking In the Boys Room video**

He was so nice, I felt so comfortable around him.

Bruce Campbell!!:
**If there is sucj a title, Bruce would be donned King of B Movies, with numerous credits including the Evil Dead series, the tv series The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and may also be noted as the King of Cameos, maing small but noteable appearances in Escape From LA, Waxwork 2 (one of the only great things about that movie), Congo, Spiderman, etc., etc., etc.**

On the right he is signing my Evil Dead 2 jacket I had made back in 1992. I always swore I'd have him sign it!! Below is an old snapshot of the jacket:
